Study Leave and Holidays

The minister will be on Study Leave and then holiday from Wednesday 29 June until Tuesday 19 July. Rev Sara Embleton will be leading Sunday worship. Pastoral cover will be provided by neighbouring ministers.

Treasurer

Gordon Chisholm, our Church Treasurer, has indicated that he wishes to stand down after many years in the role. We are most grateful to him for his commitment to the church. So, we are looking for a new Treasurer. The day-to-day bookkeeping is done by the Church Secretary. The Treasurer keeps a watching eye on the financial position, reports quarterly to the Finance Committee, and prepares the annual accounts. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please speak to the minister or William Windram, the Session Clerk.

Coffee After Church

Teas and coffees are available after the Melrose service in the Church Hall. All are welcome and if you would like to join the rota of helpers, please send a message to the office.

Those You Have Loved

Attracted a good and appreciative audience for a very attractive and varied programme of choral music. The generous donations from audience members means that The British Red Cross will benefit to the tune of £800 – an excellent sum. Thank you to all who were able to support the event.

Church Choir

Rehearsals have now stopped, but will resume at 10.00 on Sunday, 28thAugust when anyone who enjoys singing will be made very welcome.

Bowden Community Café

The next Community Café is on Wednesday 20th July at 11am in Bowden Village Hall. All are very welcome.

Bowden Flower Rota
