On Sunday 8 May we have a Family Service at 10.00am in Melrose Church Hall. Our theme is The Good Shepherd. These services last 30 minutes and ae very informal. All welcome.

Rev Sara Embleton will be leading worship at 9.30am in Bowden Kirk and 11.00am in Melrose Church. These services will also focus on The Good Shepherd. Whilst face coverings are no longer be a legal requirement in places of worship the Scottish Government continues to strongly encourage the use of protective measures to reduce risk, including wearing face coverings where appropriate, to help keep each other safe. We continue to encourage 1 metre distancing.


Christian Aid Week

Next Sunday, 15 May, sees the start of Christian Aid Week 2022. We are asked to donate and help turn hunger into hope. Melrose Music Festival 2022

With heart felt relief it’s goodbye to two years of covid restriction. Spring is in the air and we are back, dedicating this year’s Festival to The Healing Powers of Music. As always the program is varied and fun. You can hear the unforgettable sounds of Charlie Parker & Dizzy Gillespie as well as works of the masters such as Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Holst and Elgar alongside the outrageous songs Tom Lehrer and the serenity of Noel Coward. “A wonderful way to spend an evening” – Weekends from 14th– 29th May For more details see www.melrosemusicfestival.co.uk


Afternoon Tea with Musical Entertainment

Coffee After Church

Teas and coffees are available after the Melrose service, in the Church Hall.


Choir Rehearsals

Choir rehearsals have resumed on Sunday mornings at 10.00am. New members would be made very welcome.


St Cuthbert’s Way

The St Cuthbert’s Way Churches Together have produced a resource for those walking St Cuthbert’s Way – A Border Pilgrimage. Copies are available in both churches. Please take some for any friends or visitors who are coming to walk.
